Ante-natal Care
Clinics are held on Wednesday afternoons by appointment at the surgery with a midwife.
Well Baby Clinic
Held on Tuesdays 1pm – 3pm. A Doctor, Health Visitor and Practice Nurse provide development checks, immunisation and advice for the under fives.
Cervical Smears
An appointment can be made with a Nurse. Women aged between 25-50 should have a cervical smear every 3 years and aged between 50-65 every 5 years. Patients are sent reminders by the Health Authority. If you have not had a test in the last 3 years please contact the surgery.
Contraception
Full contraceptive services can be obtained at the Practice, please discuss with your GP. Emergency contraception is always available. Please ring the Surgery for advice and for urgent prescriptions.
Minor Surgery
The surgery is able to carry out a number of procedures such as the removal of moles, skin lumps, warts, in-growing toenails, hormone Implants. Please consult your Doctor about these.
Nursing Services
Our Practice Nurses offer a wide range of services including
- Dressing and Wound management
- Ear Syringing, Hearing Tests
- Travel Health and Vaccination
- New Patient checks
- Over 75 checks
- Well Women
- Well Man
- Dietary Advice
Patients with long term illnesses such as Asthma, Diabetes or Heart Disease are offered regular reviews.
We also employ a Health Care Assistant who can take bloods, perform ECG’s and take blood pressures.
Community Staff
For house bound patients who are unable to attend the surgery. The Community Nursing Team are able to provide many of the services available at the surgery.
